A blog dedicated to our 1964 Dodge Travco motorhome, named Myrtle. The blog chronicles the restoration process and offers resources and tips to other travco owners.
Hope you get this in a timely enough fashion to matter. I live in Flushing Michigan and through searching craigslist for motorhomes I found a '64 26' foot dodge. It's rough for sure but only has 20,000 and what I believe is a 318 poly. There are no pix on the ad but he did send me a few, looks like the ceiling is rotted but theres some good bones and I bet you could own it dirt cheap (no price listed). It's in the detroit rv section. Good luck. http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/rvs/1704432985.html P.S. Myrtle looks great! Knowaymr@yahoo.com
Anonymous: thanks! I don't think I could handle a second travco!
Corey: thanks for popping in! There is not much left to do on Myrtle now. I have not worked on her this year yet but we will begin soon. We still need to; install solar panels, motor tune up, curtains, paint the wheels, plumbing, wash and wax (and with her being 27 feet that is no small task!).
i have decided to sell my 'myrtle' that you unsuccessfully tried to purchase from me for a couple years before you found yours down south. let me know if you/someone with great taste has any interest-
